Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel, and Services (FLWG/A1)
Reports to: FLWG/CS – Chief of Staff

Reviewing Official: Wing Commander

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises the following areas and personnel:
-
FLWG Director of Finance and subordinate personnel
-
FLWG Administration Officer
-
FLWG Personnel Officer
-
FLWG Health Services Officer
-
FLWG Education and Training Officer
-
FLWG Recruiting and Retention Officer
-
FLWG Chaplain
-
FLWG historian
-
-
Implement policy in the above areas and advise the Command Staff on their status.
-
Recruit, train, and assist subordinate personnel assigned under FLWG/A1.

Ensure that all positions are filled and maintain a current roster of all personnel.

Establish and review budget requirements.
-
Monitor all areas under FLWG/A1 to ensure compliance with NHQs directives.

Other assignments as directed by the Chief of Staff or Wing Commander

Minimum Qualifications:
-
Hold the CAP Grade of Maj or above.
-
Complete level III.
-
Senior Rating in any of the specialties listed above.

Demonstrated budget and asset acquisition knowledge, gained within or outside CAP.

Verifiable five years of supervisory experience, gained within or outside CAP.
-
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, and working in a Windows environment.
-
Very strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
-
A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook, and a can-do attitude.

Reside within the Wing. Infrequent, temporary absences of short duration are permissible
Desired Qualifications:
-
Grade of Lt Col or above.
-
Completed Level IV.
-
Master ratings in any of the specialties listed above.

Selection criteria are based on Civil Air Patrol training, experience, participation, civilian education, and experience related to the position.
