Reports to: FLWG/A4 – Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics
Unit: SER-FL-001
Reviewing Official: A4, Chief of Staff

Duties and Responsibilities:

Advise the commander on the status of logistics programs and establish logistics policies.

Review budget requirements of logistics activities and direct consolidation of logistics budget.

Be proficient in the use and capabilities of ORMS.
-
Responsible for real property management.
-
Ensure proper accountability for CAP property.
-
Be responsible for the receipt, issue, storage, and proper disposal of all CAP property.
-
Recommend to the commander the allocation or reallocation of property within the unit.

Train and oversee subordinate unit property management officers.
-
Other LG related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:
-
Grade of Captain / Technical Sergeant or above.
-
Technician rating in Logistics.
-
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, and working in a Windows environment. Must utilize a Wing issued email account

Very strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
-
A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook, and a can-do attitude.

Reside within the Wing. Infrequent, temporary absences of short duration are permissible
Desired Qualifications:
-
Grade of Major/Master Sergeant or above.
-
Master rating in Logistics.
-
Two years experience in Logistics at the Group level.
-
Hold an active qualification as Logistics Section Chief (LSC)

Selection criteria are based on Civil Air Patrol training, experience, and participation, as well as civilian education and experience related to the position.
