Reports to:  FLWG/A4 – Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics

Active members of Florida Wing. If you don’t meet the requirements stated below, you may still apply, and be considered. Wing Supply Officer The wing supply officer assists the wing logistics officer in ensuring proper accountability of CAP property within the wing and all squadrons.

They maintain regular and frequent contact with the group and squadron supply officers to coordinate their property management efforts and stay abreast of national and wing property management policies.

They shall:


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper accountability for CAP property

  • Be proficient in the use and capabilities of the Operational Resource Management System (ORMS)

  • Document in ORMS, efforts to reclaim CAP property from inactive/departing members and be responsible for redistribution of recovered property. Will ensure the recovery of property from deactivated units and documentation in ORMS.

  • Make recommendations to the commander concerning allocation, redistribution and retirement of wing property

  • Complete all property inventory and reporting requirements. The supply officer should be familiar with CAPP 206 and CAP Regulation 130-1 and be knowledgeable of CAP Safety and Risk Management regulations CAPR 160-1 and CAPR 160-2. Also CAPR 174-1.

  • The wing supply officer answers directly to the DCS/A4 Logistics

Desired Qualifications:

  • Grade of Captain/Master Sergeant or above

  • Completed Level III or above

  • Technician Rating in the Logistics Specialty Track

  • Two years of experience as a Supply officer or Logistics officer at the Group Level

Selection criteria are based on Civil Air Patrol training, experience, and participation, as well as civilian education and experience related to the position.
